In structured interviews across nine countries, nearly half of respondents in prostitution said pornography was made of them in that setting, and nearly half were upset by pressure to imitate pornography. The recording is both a product and a form of control.

Caveats

This is a specific sample of people in prostitution, not a survey of all adult content. It does not say every video is a crime. It documents overlap between prostitution, filming, and coercion in that population.

Why this matters for the pledge
